Sweden vs Czech Republic: where pouch prices land

Czech-shipping stores post the lowest average listed can prices in SnusRadar's tracked EU data. Swedish-shipping stores hold the cheapest delivered total far more often. In every tracked EU market, the store that most often works out cheapest on a 10-can basket ships from Sweden.

Goods moving between EU member states do not cross a customs border, so an order from a Swedish or Czech warehouse to another member state involves no customs declaration. That leaves the question as arithmetic: the listed price, plus the store's shipping cost for the basket, less whatever a free-shipping threshold saves.

All figures below are listed prices in EUR at our last refresh, not guaranteed prices.

Two caveats on that table. Snusdaddy, Snusline and KillaPods also serve markets outside the EU, so their averages include those listings. Snus24 has no live in-stock offers in our data and its prices are estimates, so it is left out of the price comparison below.

For reference, the average listed can price across all tracked offers is EUR 4.55 in Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain and Portugal, and EUR 4.52 in Poland. Not every store serves every market, so the retailer comparison for your market is the list that applies to you.

Sweden: range and delivered totals

Five tracked stores ship from Sweden: PouchSpot, Snusdaddy, Snusforsale, SnusExpress and Snusline. Between them they account for more live in-stock offers than any other origin in the EU markets we track, 738 across the five.

Their listed averages sit on either side of the EU market average of about EUR 4.55 per can, from EUR 4.17 at Snusdaddy to EUR 4.87 at SnusExpress. Our SnusExpress review covers one of them in more detail, and the Snusdaddy review covers another.

The cluster stands out on delivered totals rather than on sticker price. PouchSpot holds the cheapest delivered 10-can total on 101 products in Germany, 112 in Ireland, Italy, Spain and Portugal, and 117 in Poland. Snusdaddy adds 22 products in every tracked EU market and Snusline 14, and Snusforsale takes 12 or 13 in the markets where it reaches the top five.

The Czech Republic: low averages, narrow catalogues

Three tracked stores ship from the Czech Republic: POUCHES.EU, KillaPods and Snus24. The first two carry the lowest average listed can prices in the entire tracked set, EUR 3.55 and EUR 3.74, both well under the EU market average of about EUR 4.55. Snus24 has no live in-stock offers for us to price.

The catalogues are the constraint. POUCHES.EU has 45 live in-stock offers and KillaPods 35, against 217 for PouchSpot and 157 for Snusdaddy. A low average across a narrow range does not convert into many cheapest-delivered wins, and neither Czech store appears among the five stores that most often hold the cheapest delivered 10-can total in any tracked EU market. Our KillaPods review looks at that catalogue in detail.

Put plainly: if a Czech store carries the product you want, its listed price is likely to be among the lowest we track. It often does not carry it.

Denmark, Poland and Spain

Snusmania and EuropeSnus ship from Denmark, at tracked averages of EUR 4.56 and EUR 4.99 per can. Snusmania holds the cheapest delivered 10-can total on 18 products in every tracked EU market. EuropeSnus does not reach the top five in any of them, despite 110 live in-stock offers.

Snuzone ships from Poland at a tracked average of EUR 4.32 across 165 offers, and reaches the German top five with 19 products. Snuzia ships from Spain and carries the highest tracked average in the set, EUR 5.55 per can across 45 live offers, inside a narrow EUR 5.15 to EUR 5.68 range.

Shipping costs

Shipping decides small orders, and it is the part of this comparison we are strictest about. Verified shipping terms exist for two stores only. PouchSpot charges EUR 4.95 with free shipping over EUR 40 in each of its tracked markets. Snuzone's verified fee varies by destination, from EUR 4.50 in Germany to EUR 10.00 in Ireland, with free shipping over EUR 40 in Germany and over EUR 60 in Ireland, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

For every other tracked store our shipping figures are estimates, so they are not stated here as fact. Each store's own delivery terms are the authority. Our guide to free-shipping thresholds covers how a threshold changes the delivered total.

Customs

Goods moving between EU member states do not cross a customs border, so an intra-EU order involves no customs declaration. SnusRadar publishes no figures on tax treatment or on national rules in any market, and nothing here should be read as guidance on either. Why the same can costs different amounts in different countries is covered in why pouch prices differ by country.

So where do orders land cheapest?

On average listed price per can, the Czech-shipping stores, on catalogues of 45 and 35 products. On the delivered totals that decide a real order, the Swedish-shipping stores, and by a wide margin: PouchSpot alone holds the cheapest 10-can total on more than four times as many products as the next store in every tracked EU market.

Basket size is what moves the answer within that. On a small order the shipping cost dominates the total, so a low flat fee or a store you clear a threshold with can win. On a large order the per-can price dominates. Set your products and your quantity on your market's comparison page and read the delivered-total ranking rather than the sticker prices.

Frequently asked questions

Do I pay customs charges on an order from another EU country?

Goods moving between EU member states do not cross a customs border, so no customs declaration is involved. SnusRadar publishes nothing on tax treatment, and the ranking is built from the listed price plus shipping.

Why do Czech-shipping stores show lower average prices?

Our data shows the pattern, not the reason for it. POUCHES.EU and KillaPods carry the lowest tracked averages, EUR 3.55 and EUR 3.74 per can, across the two smallest catalogues in the EU set, 45 and 35 live in-stock offers. The Swedish stores carry higher averages across far more products.

Which store is cheapest most often?

PouchSpot, in every tracked EU market: 101 products in Germany, 112 in Ireland, Italy, Spain and Portugal, and 117 in Poland.

Does SnusRadar rank on sticker price or delivered price?

Delivered price. Every ranking is the listed price plus that store's shipping cost for the order, with free-shipping thresholds applied. A cheap can with expensive postage does not win.

How current are these figures?

Listed prices and stock are refreshed weekly and each page carries a last-updated date. Every price is the listed price at that refresh rather than a guaranteed price, and we hold no price history.
